Sorah Al-Fatihah ( The Opening ) - Verses Number 7

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ( 1 )

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ( 2 )

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -

الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ( 3 )

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ( 4 )

Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ( 5 )

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ( 6 )

Guide us to the straight path -

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ ( 7 )

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

The Rights of ParentsIslam recognizes family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side.
