Sorah Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Verses Number 56
يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ ( 1 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 1
O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)!
قُمْ فَأَنذِرْ ( 2 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 2
Arise and deliver thy warning!
وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ ( 3 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 3
And thy Lord do thou magnify!
وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ ( 4 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 4
And thy garments keep free from stain!
وَالرُّجْزَ فَاهْجُرْ ( 5 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 5
And all abomination shun!
وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ ( 6 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 6
Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)!
وَلِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْ ( 7 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 7
But, for thy Lord's (Cause), be patient and constant!
فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِ ( 8 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 8
Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded,
فَذَٰلِكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوْمٌ عَسِيرٌ ( 9 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 9
That will be- that Day - a Day of Distress,-
عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرٍ ( 10 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 10
Far from easy for those without Faith.
ذَرْنِي وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًا ( 11 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 11
Leave Me alone, (to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and) alone!-
وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مَالًا مَّمْدُودًا ( 12 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 12
To whom I granted resources in abundance,
وَبَنِينَ شُهُودًا ( 13 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 13
And sons to be by his side!-
وَمَهَّدتُّ لَهُ تَمْهِيدًا ( 14 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 14
To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable!
ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ أَنْ أَزِيدَ ( 15 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 15
Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);-
By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory!
سَأُرْهِقُهُ صَعُودًا ( 17 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 17
Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities!
إِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ ( 18 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 18
For he thought and he plotted;-
فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ ( 19 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 19
And woe to him! How he plotted!-
ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ ( 20 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 20
Yea, Woe to him; How he plotted!-
ثُمَّ نَظَرَ ( 21 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 21
Then he looked round;
ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ ( 22 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 22
Then he frowned and he scowled;
ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ ( 23 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 23
Then he turned back and was haughty;
Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old;
"This is nothing but the word of a mortal!"
سَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَ ( 26 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 26
Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire!
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ ( 27 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 27
And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is?
لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ ( 28 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 28
Naught doth it permit to endure, and naught doth it leave alone!-
لَوَّاحَةٌ لِّلْبَشَرِ ( 29 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 29
Darkening and changing the colour of man!
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ ( 30 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 30
Over it are Nineteen.
And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind.
كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ ( 32 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 32
Nay, verily: By the Moon,
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذْ أَدْبَرَ ( 33 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 33
And by the Night as it retreateth,
وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا أَسْفَرَ ( 34 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 34
And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,-
إِنَّهَا لَإِحْدَى الْكُبَرِ ( 35 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 35
This is but one of the mighty (portents),
نَذِيرًا لِّلْبَشَرِ ( 36 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 36
A warning to mankind,-
To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;-
Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds.
إِلَّا أَصْحَابَ الْيَمِينِ ( 39 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 39
Except the Companions of the Right Hand.
فِي جَنَّاتٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ ( 40 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 40
(They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other,
عَنِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ ( 41 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 41
And (ask) of the Sinners:
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ ( 42 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 42
"What led you into Hell Fire?"
They will say: "We were not of those who prayed;
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ ( 44 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 44
"Nor were we of those who fed the indigent;
وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ ( 45 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 45
"But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers;
وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ ( 46 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 46
"And we used to deny the Day of Judgment,
حَتَّىٰ أَتَانَا الْيَقِينُ ( 47 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 47
"Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain."
فَمَا تَنفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِعِينَ ( 48 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 48
Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them.
Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?-
كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ ( 50 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 50
As if they were affrighted asses,
فَرَّتْ مِن قَسْوَرَةٍ ( 51 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 51
Fleeing from a lion!
Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out!
By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter,
كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ ( 54 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 54
Nay, this surely is an admonition:
فَمَن شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ ( 55 ) Al-Muddaththir ( The One Enveloped ) - Ayaa 55
Let any who will, keep it in remembrance!
But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness.

  • The Etiquette of Seeking KnowledgeThe Etiquette of Seeking Knowledge ... to adorn oneself with beautiful etiquette, noble manners, good behaviour, and pious conduct are distinguishing characteristics of the people of Islam, and knowledge - the most precious pearl in the crown of the purified Shariah - cannot be attained except by those who adorn themselves with its etiquette and those who leave evil qualities associated to it. For this reason the scholars devoted their attention to this etiquette, outlined its importance and wrote books solely on this topic; either pertaining to (general conduct] with all types of knowledge or to specific types of knowledge such as the etiquette of the carriers of the Noble Quran, the etiquette of the muhaddith, the etiquette of the mufti, the etiquette of the qazi (judge), the etiquette of the muhtasib (the one who enjoins good and forbids evil for the sake of Allah) and so on. The issue of this book is the general conduct of those who take the path of seeking the knowledge of the Sharee'ah.

  • The difference between the shee'ah and the muslimsAn important book shows the corrupt belief of Shi’ites. The author said in the introduction, “I wrote this book for a number of reasons including: (1) The increased efforts of the Shi’ites to spread their ideology in the Muslim world. (2) The danger of this deviant sect poses on Islam. (3) The ignorance of many Muslims about the danger of this deviant sect. (4) The corrupt Aqeedah (belief system) of the Shi’ites, which includes polytheism, defamation of the Quran and defamation of the Companions of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with them all. (5) Their extreme beliefs in relation to their imams.
